Dan McCormick

Director Of Project Development at National Resource Management

Dan McCormick has been continuously employed since a young age, working in various roles such as a videographer, A1 live sound technician, audio engineer and producer, published writer/illustrator/cartoonist, building contractor, radio DJ, and broadcast engineer. In 1995, they began working as an Account Executive for Great Lakes Communications, a communications/PR firm servicing the nonprofit sector. In 1996, they moved to Liberty Tree Communications, where they served as an Operations Team Lead, supervising operations in a call center and training and supervising new staff.

In 1998, Dan McCormick joined National Resource Management, Inc. as the Director Of Project Development, where they reported directly to the CEO and oversaw project engineering and system design for large, custom, and key accounts. Dan also served as Sales and Marketing Manager, managing and directing sales, marketing, and revenue-generation for the company. Dan completed an overhaul of the web presence, branding, messaging, and core strategy for the transition from regional specialist to national powerhouse. Dan then served as Business Development Manager for the NE Region, achieving record new revenue growth through new sales training and process improvements. Dan also managed and developed utility program partnerships and contract negotiations.

Dan McCormick then moved to the role of Product Manager for RSM Automation and Controls, where they oversaw the flagship Cloud-based Monitoring and Commissioning (MBCx) platform. Dan was responsible for product development and sales engineering in large CI, strategic accounts, and institutional sales for a specialized Internet of Things (IoT) platform. Dan also drove custom building-automation and remote-management projects in the Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional sectors.

Dan McCormick then served as Customer Service Manager, managing 24/7 technical support and field service for thousands of commercial and industrial energy-management systems throughout North America. Dan trained and supervised subcontractors and channel-partners, and backstopped incoming support and service calls.

Dan then served as Production Manager, overseeing manufacturing, testing, programming, shipping, purchasing, and job-scheduling of commercial and industrial energy-management systems. Dan was responsible for turning paperwork into product, training and supervising factory staff, scheduling jobs with end-customers and subcontractors, and planning and executing purchasing strategies to minimize inventory while maximizing output. Dan also did technical writing and illustration, developing and implementing training materials, building manuals, and process documentation for a growing startup operation.

In 2005, Dan McCormick became a Residential Landlord. In 2016, they became the Owner / Producer / Engineer of Skyhouse Recording Studio, as well as a Partner / Engineer of Hanging Horse Studio.

Dan McCormick attended Medfield High School, Middlesex Community College, and Bennington College.
