Ian Waight

Ian Waight has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ian is currently working at NRN - National Renewable Network as the Head of Operations since March 2023. Prior to this, they were a Business Consultant at the same company from October 2022 to February 2023.

Before joining NRN, Ian worked at Solar Analytics where they held multiple positions. Ian served as the Chief Revenue Officer from January 2021 to August 2022 and also held the role of Company Secretary during the same period. Additionally, they were the Chief Operating Officer from 2019 to 2020, a Senior Project Manager from October 2017 to December 2018, and a Marketing Manager from September 2016 to October 2017.

Ian'sprofessional journey also includes being an MBA Student at Macquarie Graduate School of Management from March 2015 to December 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Safety Advisor at NRW Civil & Mining from May 2014 to January 2015, and as a Safety Advisor/Site Supervisor at SKILLED Group from April 2012 to May 2014.

Ian's career started in 2004 when they founded Palisade Construction, a general building contractor. Ian owned and operated the company until January 2012. During the same period, they also served as the President and Treasurer of Sierra Green Building Association from 2004 to 2011.

Ian Waight completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Ecology, Evolution, Systematics, and Population Biology at UC San Diego from 1993 to 1997. Ian is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Macquarie Business School, starting in 2015 with no specified end year.
