Caron Bastianpillai

Caron Bastianpillai is a seasoned finance professional with over three decades of experience in portfolio management and hedge fund research. Currently serving as a Senior Portfolio Manager at NS PARTNERS since October 2008, Caron specializes in research, analysis, and management of multi-manager portfolios with a focus on hedge fund and absolute return strategies. Prior experience includes a role as Managing Director at Banco Santander from 1994 to 2008, where Caron conducted due diligence on hedge fund managers, managed multi-manager portfolios, and oversaw a team of analysts as a member of the Management Committee. Caron began the professional journey as a Product Manager at Thomson Financial Services from 1991 to 1994, focusing on research related to corporate actions in equities. Caron holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Houston, earned in 1990.
