Michelle Matteo

Michelle Matteo has extensive experience in forestry and auditing, currently serving as the Technical Scheme Manager for Forestry with NSF since February 2009. In addition to this role, Michelle operates as a Consulting Senior Lead Auditor for SFI, PEFC, and FSC, specializing in Chain of Custody and Forest Management with both NSF and Soil Association. As the owner of Quercus Consulting, Michelle is a licensed forester and ISA Certified Arborist in Massachusetts. Michelle's expertise also includes serving on the Northeast Master Logger Certification Board and previously as a Commissioner for the West Haven Tree Commission. With a strong educational background, Michelle holds a Master's degree in Forestry & Watershed Science and a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
