Alex Richardson

Alex Richardson is an experienced professional in policy and project management, currently serving as a Senior Policy and Projects Officer at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice since January 2022, where responsibilities include leading the Justice Advocacy Service for individuals with cognitive impairments in the criminal justice system. Prior roles within the same department include Acting Manager and Senior Policy and Projects Officer, focusing on crime prevention policies and various programs. Before this, Alex worked at the Black Dog Institute in multiple roles, including Engagement Manager and Senior Project Officer, and held positions in logistics and retail at Urban Walkabout, Country Road Group, and Seed Heritage. Alex holds a Master's degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from UNSW and a Bachelor's degree in Socio-Legal Studies and History from the University of Sydney.
