Dave Thompson Am

Dave Thompson AM is an experienced professional currently serving as the Director of Commissioning & Temporary Schools at the NSW Department of Education since June 2020, overseeing Quality Construction Management and defect management for new and refurbished schools. Thompson has held various roles within the NSW Department of Education, including Senior Asset Services Officer and Group Leader, where responsibilities included project management of minor capital works and leading construction programs. Additionally, Thompson worked as a Senior Manager for the Temporary Schools Program, managing the planning and commissioning of temporary educational facilities. Prior experience includes an Environmental Officer role with the Department of Industry’s Soil Conservation Services and a Business Development Manager position at Waratah Sports. Thompson's educational background includes completion of an Executive General Management Program at the Australian Graduate School of Management, University of NSW.
