Michael Hallett

Michael Hallett is a seasoned geoscience professional currently serving as a Senior Geoscience Projects Officer with the Department of Regional NSW, where responsibilities include overseeing large geophysical acquisition programs. With extensive experience in strategic management and policy development as an Executive Officer at both the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment and the Geological Survey of NSW, Michael has also played a critical role in managing funds and granting programs in the geological sector. Past experience includes consulting for DINAMIGE Uruguay on a significant airborne geophysical survey and serving as Chief Geophysicist at the NSW Department of Minerals, focusing on airborne geophysical survey contract management. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Geology and Geophysics, a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geology, and an EMPA in Public Administration from the University of Sydney.
