Kate Meagher

Deputy Secretary, Community Engagement at NSW Government

Kate Meagher is currently the Deputy Secretary for Community Engagement at the Department of Premier and Cabinet in New South Wales, Australia. Prior to their current role, Kate served as the Director of Communications for RECOGNISE, a campaign to achieve constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia. Kate has also held the position of Director of Government Relations at the University of Technology Sydney and was previously a Government Relations Adviser at UTS. Prior to their work in higher education, Kate worked as an Adviser for the NSW Government, focusing on education, environment, women's issues, attorney general matters, arts, assistant health, energy and emergency services. Kate began their career in local government, working as the Media Manager for South Sydney City Council.

Kate Meagher has a BA (Hons) from the University of Sydney.
