Stuart Khan

Stuart Khan is a prominent academic and industry leader currently serving as Professor and Head of the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney since November 2023. Khan also holds several leadership roles, including Chair of the NSW EPA Wastewater Expert Panel and member of both the Wilcannia Weir Independent Review Panel and the Independent Water Advisory Panel for the NSW Government. As a Director on multiple boards, Khan contributes to Water Research Australia, The Better Cities Initiative, and the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences & Engineering. Additionally, Khan has been involved with the National Health and Medical Research Council since 2007, chairing the Recreational Water Quality Advisory Committee. Khan's extensive experience includes various committees and fellowships in water quality and engineering, reflecting a rich academic and professional background that includes a PhD from UNSW and qualifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
