Tamara Blakemore

Tamara Blakemore is an accomplished academic and social work professional with extensive experience in various roles since 1998. Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle, Tamara also works as a Clinical Social Worker at NSW Health and holds the position of Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the UniSA Australian Centre for Child Protection. Past roles include Conjoint Senior Research Fellow at the University of Newcastle's Family Action Centre, Senior Policy Analyst with the Australian Federal Government's FaHCSIA, and Visiting Fellow at the Australian National University. Tamara's early career includes positions as a Research Assistant, Casual Academic, Child Sexual Abuse Counsellor, and Sexual Assault Counsellor. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Child Sexual Abuse and Adolescent Mental Health, a Bachelor of Social Work Honours (class 1), and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology, all from The University of Queensland.
