NSW Waratahs
Melissa Juergens is a highly qualified performance dietitian with extensive experience in sports nutrition and dietetics. Currently serving in dual roles as a Performance Dietitian for the NSW Waratahs and GWS Giants, Melissa has built a strong foundation in the field since beginning the position at GWS Giants in November 2021. Previous experience includes significant roles at Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and Healthfix, along with various student placements and internships throughout Melissa's education, including work with the Australian Defence Force focused on dietetic research. Melissa holds a Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Sydney, along with degrees in Exercise and Sports Science and qualifications in fitness. Melissa is recognized as an accredited practicing dietitian and an accredited exercise scientist.

The NSW Waratahs are the representative rugby union team for the Australian State of New South Wales. Referred to by fans as the Tahs, the NSW Waratahs compete in the Super Rugby tournament. The NSW Waratahs are the State's only professional rugby team and each year contribute over $1,100,000 to support the development and growth of the grassroots game across NSW. As a high performance organisation, our vision is to deliver a success rugby team for NSW to be proud of and build a profitable and successful business to ensure the game’s long-term future. The team is based at David Phillips Sporting Complex, Daceyville.
