Maria Anassutzi

Maria Anassutzi has over 20 years of experience in the field of intellectual property and legal counsel. Maria is currently the Chief Legal Counsel at NT-ware Systemprogrammierung, a role they have held since 2021. Prior to this, Maria worked at Canon Europe HQ for 12 years as the Lead EMEA intellectual property counsel - IP contracts, where they were responsible for drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts, as well as handling data protection and TUPE issues. Maria also has experience as an Intellectual Property Expert and Director at Anassutzi & Co limited, as well as an Intellectual Property IT Partner at Harris Cartier LLP. Maria began their career at Vodafone HQ as an intellectual property and information technology senior global solicitor, where they managed international contracts, procurement, and intellectual property activities. Maria's expertise lies in the areas of contract drafting and negotiation, intellectual property enforcement and protection, and project management.

Maria Anassutzi received their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Sapienza Università di Roma in 1988, specializing in Law. Maria then pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Intellectual Property, EU law, Competition law, and International Trade from the University of Kent between 1990 and 1991. In 2009, Maria obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Administration from the University of Oxford. Additionally, they have certifications as an ADR Accredited Mediator from ADR Group and as a Member of the Law Society of England and Wales from LAW SOCIETY.
