Martin Svoboda

Martin Svoboda has extensive experience in library management and information technology, currently serving as the director of the National Library of Technology since September 1997. Previously, Martin worked at the National Library of the Czech Republic from August 1988 to July 1997 as head of IT and head of the CASLIN department. Earlier in Martin's career, positions included chief systems programmer at Technomat Prague (July 1983 - August 1988) and researcher/software developer at UVTEI UTZ (May 1974 - July 1983). Martin holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Programming from the Czech Technical University in Prague, earned between 1960 and 1965.
