Panagiotis Vogiatzis

Panagiotis Vogiatzis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Their most recent position was at nTopology, where they began as a Software Engineer in November 2018 and transitioned to the role of Lead Simulation Engineer in December 2020. In October 2021, they became an Engineering Manager, a position they currently hold.

Prior to their work at nTopology, Panagiotis worked at Stony Brook University from August 2013 to August 2018. During their time there, they served as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant while pursuing their PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Their research focused on Topology Optimization and Multi-material topology optimization using a reconciled level-set method.

Panagiotis also gained experience in the automotive industry through their internship at Ford Motor Company/Optimal CAE Inc in the summer of 2017. As a CAE Engineer intern, they conducted research on the application of topology optimization and metamaterial structures in crashworthiness problems and supported cellular material structure development through CAE analysis.

Additionally, Panagiotis has a background in Formula Racing, having been a member of the Aristotle Racing Team from October 2008 to October 2011. As part of the team, they were involved in the design and construction of a Formula SAE racing car.

Panagiotis Vogiatzis received a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University in 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a 5-year Mechanical Engineering Diploma equivalent to Masters (M.Sc.) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2013, with a specialization in Engines and Aeronautics.
