Alex Gemmell

Alex Gemmell has extensive work experience as a software engineer, with a focus on leading software development teams. In their most recent role at NTWRK, they served as a Lead Software Engineer starting in 2020. Prior to that, they worked at PatientPop Inc. as a Lead Software Engineer from 2017 to 2020. Before that, they held the position of Lead Senior Software Engineer at Tuition.io from 2015 to 2017, where they played a pivotal role in developing critical systems for addressing student debt. Alex also has experience as a Senior Developer at Fine Art America from 2014 to 2015. In addition, they have worked as a Senior Backend Programmer at B-Reel from 2012 to 2014, where they handled server-side services and fulfilled a DevOps role. Alex Gemmell has also worked as a Consultant Internet Programmer, specializing in frontend and backend development, from 2007 to 2013. Alex undertook consulting roles at Lonres, Ipsotek Ltd, Digit, and Wieden + Kennedy during this time.

Alex Gemmell attended Latymer Upper School from 1990 to 1997. From 1997 to 1998, they studied Biomedical Material Science at The University of Manchester. Finally, from 1999 to 2003, Alex obtained a Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) in Computer Science from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
