Alberto Santamato

Alberto Santamato is a Senior Photonics Engineer at Nu Quantum since November 2022, with previous experience as a Researcher at CNIT from August 2019 to September 2022 and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Padova from February 2017 to September 2019, focusing on quantum key distribution and quantum random number generation. Experience at the University of Bristol includes a Research Associate position from January 2015 to January 2019, working on modeling and experimentation regarding grating couplers and reconfigurable delay lines for single photons, as well as five years as a PhD Research Student, specializing in chip fabrication for quantum information. Early career includes a position as a Substitute Professor at Istituto Salesiano S. Ambrogio, teaching math and physics. Alberto holds a Dottore Magistrale in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Università degli Studi di Milano and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from the University of Bristol.
