John Simm

John Simm is an experienced technician with a diverse background in research and development, mechanical assembly, and equipment testing across various industries. Currently serving as a Senior Lab Technician at Nu Quantum since January 2023, John previously held roles at Blacktrace Holdings Ltd as a Production Assembly Technician, and at AVX as an R&D Technician, where responsibilities included building and testing prototypes and sourcing materials. John’s earlier experience includes positions at Cambridge Mechatronics Ltd focused on microfabrication for mobile camera technology, mechanical assembly at TTPLabtech and TTP plc, and optical unit manufacturing at Diomed Ltd. An analytical laboratory technician role at Melbourn Scientific rounded out this extensive career. John Simm has pursued education at The Open University and the University of Cambridge, along with a short course from the IEE.
