John Puthenparampil George

Photonic Design Engineer at Nubis Communications

John Puthenparampil George has worked in various roles in the field of photonic design and research. John started their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ghent University in 2016, where they focused on designing, fabricating, and characterizing integrated photonics modulators. John also conducted research on SAW devices, thin film optical filters, and the reliability of photonic materials. John'srole involved designing photonics devices on chips as well as performing electrical and optical characterizations. In 2020, John joined PUXANO as a Postdoctoral Researcher, and in 2023, they began working as a Photonic Design Engineer at Nubis Communications.

John Puthenparampil George began their education in 2002 at the University of Kerala, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering in 2006. John then pursued further studies and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from 2007 to 2010.

Continuing their academic journey, George joined Ghent University in 2011 to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in NanoPhotonics. John successfully completed their PhD studies in 2015, showcasing their expertise in this field.

George remained at Ghent University and further expanded their knowledge by undertaking a role as a Post Doctoral Researcher in the field of Nano Photonics from 2016 to 2021. This position allowed him to contribute to the research and development of nanoscale photonics technologies.

Throughout their education history, George's academic focus has been on Electrical Engineering and specifically on their specialization in Nano Photonics. John'sstudies have spanned over several years and have equipped him with a deep understanding of these subjects.
