Harun Rashid holds a B.Pharm., M.Pharm., and PhD degree and has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Harun is currently the Director at NuChem Sciences since 2022. Previously, they worked as a Director at Nexelis from 2021 to 2022, leading vaccine and immunology research. From 2012 to 2021, they held various positions at Charles River Laboratories, including Principal Scientist where they supported clients in drug discovery for pain, IBD, dermatology, and immunology disease areas. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Research Scientist-II, In-Vivo Pharmacology at Charles River Laboratories. Harun also worked as a Scientist at AstraZeneca from 2008 to 2012. Harun Rashid obtained postdoctoral training at McGill University from 2006 to 2007 and at Kyushu University from 2004 to 2006. Harun began their career as a QC Pharmacist at Pharmik Labs Limited from 1998 to 2000. Previously, they served as a Lecturer of Pharmacology at University of Science and Technology Chittagong from 1997 to 2000 and as a QA Pharmacist at Eskayef Bangladesh Ltd. in 1997.
Harun Rashid obtained their Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Tech degree in Pharmacy from Jadavpur University, where they studied from 1991 to 1997. Harun then pursued a Master of Pharmacy degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Jadavpur University, completing it from 1995 to 1997. Continuing their education, they enrolled at Nagasaki University from 2000 to 2004 and earned a PhD in Pharmacology. Afterward, they joined McGill University in 2006 as an AstraZeneca Postdoctoral Fellow, specializing in Pain Electrophysiology.
