Alexander Lazar MD/PhD is a prominent academic and medical professional with extensive experience in pathology and genomic medicine. Currently serving as a Professor of Pathology, Genomic Medicine, Translational Molecular Pathology, and Dermatology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Alexander also directs multiple fellowship training programs focused on sarcoma and melanoma. In addition to academic roles at UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston, Alexander is a partner at Gothams and managing partner at Technoscience, while contributing as a strategic mentor at Creative Destruction Lab. Notably, Alexander has held significant positions during the COVID-19 pandemic, including as a member of the Governor's COVID Strike Force in Texas and Biosecurity Director for the 59th US Inaugural Ceremonies.
