Asma Ayari, Ph.D. has a wide range of work experience. In 2010, they completed a Master Candidate role at the University of Tunis El Manar, where they isolated over 400 actinomycetes from soil and bee hives, and conducted inhibition tests for screening of the most efficient actinomycetes in inhibiting a pathogenic fungi growth. In 2013, they completed a University Diploma (DU) in virology at the University of Lille 2. From 2014 to 2019, they held a PhD Candidate role at the University of Lille 2, where they designed, planned and executed infection experiments in a murine models using a bacterial model (Streptococcus pneumoniae) and a viral model (Influenza virus), and spearheaded 3 projects in collaboration with academia and industry. Asma also had extensive experience in in vitro cell line (3T3-L1, MDCK & MLE-15) & primary cell culture isolated from the adipose tissue. Since 2019, they have been working at Nucleus Biologics as an R&D Manager, Scientist, and Postdoctoral Associate. In their role as Scientist, they are managing 4+ cell culture media formulation projects for customers working in the field of cell and gene therapy, and is hands-on in vitro small-scale screenings (using Incucyte) with extensive experience on human T cells, MSCs, and iPSCs. Asma is also responsible for candidates selection from media analysis, including amino acids and B vitamins content (Rebel 908), salts and minerals content (ICP-MS), cytokines, chemokines, and growth factors identification (Luminex), and fatty acids, TCA cycle components.

Asma Ayari, Ph.D. obtained their Master's degree in Microbiology from the University of Tunis El Manar in 2012. Asma then went on to pursue a University Diploma (DU) in Virology at the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, which they completed in 2014. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Virology, Immunology, and Metabolism from the same university in 2018.
