Sally Dowen

Sally Dowen is an independent clinical trials consultant with over 20 years of experience in clinical trials, specializing in early-phase development. Previously, Sally held leadership positions such as Head of Clinical Trials at the MHRA and Director of Clinical Science and Regulatory Affairs at a prominent UK CRO, overseeing more than 200 phase I and II trials across various therapeutic areas. Currently, Sally serves as Vice President of Operations UK at Nucleus Network and is a Visiting Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. Sally also engages with several ethical and advisory groups, including the London–Brent Research Ethics Committee and the UK Health Research Authority's Phase 1 Expert Advisory Group. Sally earned a BA in Natural Sciences and a PhD in Molecular Oncology from the University of Cambridge, along with a Certificate in Human Pharmacology from the Royal College of Physicians.
