Abhishek Kumar

Abhishek Kumar is a Metallurgical Engineer with extensive experience in various roles within the metallurgical field. Currently employed at Nucor Corporation since April 2015, Abhishek focuses on establishing quality specifications for structural steel and verifying manufacturing processes. Prior to this, Abhishek served as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Missouri S&T, where responsibilities included teaching metal casting, welding, and steelmaking courses, as well as conducting PhD research on refractory materials and inclusion engineering in steel. Additional experience includes roles as a Product Manager at Struers A/S, where laboratory oversight and training were key responsibilities, and as a Quality Supervisor at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., focusing on output quality in the medium and light section mill. Abhishek’s educational background encompasses a PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Technology in Materials & Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
