Edgar Villarreal

Edgar Villarreal is a seasoned automation engineer with extensive experience in system management and application development, primarily in the steel and aerospace industries. Currently serving as a Level 2 Automation Engineer at Nucor Steel since June 2009, Edgar has significantly improved SCADA and Information systems, achieving near 100% uptime and optimizing data flow across various levels. Prior roles include Automation Systems Engineer at Advanced Integration Technology, Project Manager at AMI-GE International and KR Automation Corporation, where Edgar oversaw automation system development and application programming. Edgar's career began as a Project Leader at AMI, specializing in Human-Machine Interfaces, and includes early experience as a Computer Science Teacher. Education was obtained at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, culminating in a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics.
