Kiran Sama currently serves as a Rolling Mill Process Metallurgist at Nucor Corporation since July 2021. Previously, Kiran worked as a Metallurgist at Textron, focusing on sample preparation and microstructural evaluation, while also managing laboratory operations to meet customer specifications. Kiran gained teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Michigan Technological University and conducted research on recycling Lithium-ion batteries as a Graduate Research Assistant. Kiran has held academic and consulting roles at Sri Venkateswara University and completed various internships, including a mechanical engineering internship at Larsen & Toubro Power. Kiran holds a Master's degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
