Sean Alteri is an accomplished environmental professional with extensive experience in regulatory affairs and environmental management. Currently serving as the Director of Environmental Permitting and Regulatory Affairs at Nucor Corporation since February 2020, Alteri previously held significant positions including Deputy Commissioner at the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection and Director at the Kentucky Division for Air Quality. In these roles, Alteri has been involved in evaluating federal air quality regulations, coordinating economic development projects, advising businesses on permitting, and representing the division before legislative committees. Alteri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
