Melissa Rue has over 20 years of experience in public relations and strategic communications. Melissa is currently working as the Vice President at Nuffer, Smith, Tucker Public Relations, where they assist organizations in engaging their key audiences through various strategies such as strategic planning, branding, and crisis management. Prior to their current role, Melissa ran their own consulting firm, Melissa Rue PR, where they provided public relations consulting services to clients. Melissa has also held positions such as Executive Vice President at Mobility Public Relations, Account Director at The Hoffman Agency, and Public Relations professional at both Amazon.com and HP. Earlier in their career, Melissa worked as the Director of Intrusive Marketing and Public Relations at Ultravibe.com and gained experience in event planning and recruiting as a student athlete at San Jose State University Women's Cross Country team.

Melissa Rue completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from San Jose State University between the years 1995 and 2000.
