Michael Hegedus

Technical Engineer/Helpdesk at NuMSP

Michael Hegedus has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Michael began their career as an Expeditor, 4/C Stripper, and Quality Control at TSI Graphics from 1988 to 1992. Michael then worked as a 4/C Stripper at Mates Graphics from 1992 to 1994. Michael's next role was at Galvanic Printing & Plate Co, where they started as a Prepress Manager, Mac Operator, and Platemaker in 1994. During their time there, they transformed the department from an analog film-based operation to a digital direct-to-plate computer-based operation, resulting in increased productivity and streamlined workflow. After leaving Galvanic Printing & Plate Co in 2011, Michael joined STIGroup, Ltd. as a Network Security Analyst in 2013. In this role, they were responsible for incident response and IDS/IPS threat analysis for multiple clients across various sectors and industries. Michael also managed security devices and troubleshooted network issues using various tools. Michael's next two roles were as a Technical Engineer/Helpdesk at Quarterhorse Technology Group and NuMSP in 2020. In these roles, they utilized ConnectWise Manage, Automate, and Support, as well as ITGlue for documentation and information management. Michael also worked remotely with users to solve various technical problems and communicated with clients using RingCentral.

Michael Hegedus has a diverse education history spanning several decades. In 1984, they attended duCret School of the Arts, where they focused on illustration, photography, and fine art. Michael later pursued a program at the Armat School for the Graphic Arts in 1988, where they studied lithographic stripping and black & white photography. In 1995, Michael obtained an Associate in Arts degree from Union College - NJ, majoring in Journalism.

In more recent years, Michael further expanded their knowledge and skills. Michael completed a certificate program at William Paterson University of New Jersey from 2018 to 2019, specializing in Cisco Networking, Linux, and Cybersecurity. Additionally, Michael obtained various certifications to enhance their proficiency in the field. In 2012, they achieved CompTIA A+ ce certification, followed by CompTIA Network+ ce and CompTIA Security+ ce certifications in 2014. Michael's dedication to networking and security led him to become a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) in April 2019 and a Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching) in February 2020.
