Maxine Carroll

Maxine Carroll is an experienced student counsellor at Nunavut Arctic College since August 2016, specializing in personal and crisis counseling for students. Prior to this role, Maxine co-founded and served as the executive director of LEAP, a non-profit focused on educational programming for life skills and leadership from January 2005 to August 2016. Additional experience includes instructing Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training and Mental Health First Aid courses in various Nunavut communities, co-instructing leadership programs for youth, and contributing to mental health initiatives across multiple organizations. Maxine holds a diverse educational background, including a Master's degree in Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Social Work Practice.
