Carmen Escaño Serrano has been working in the design and innovation field since 2006. Carmen began their career at V12 Design as a Product Designer and Design Engineer. In 2007, they moved to Mormedi, where they worked as an Industrial and Strategic Designer. In 2011, they started working as a Freelance UX Design Researcher at Chemistry and as a Senior Design Researcher at ASUS. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at Philips, where they served as a Design Lead for Antenatal Care Venture, Healthspace Design Lead and Strategic Design Consultant, and Senior UX Innovation and Research Designer and Design Manager. Since 2019, they have been working at Nuniq as Co-founder and Changemaker, Head of Innovation, UX and Sustainability.
Carmen Escaño Serrano has a diverse educational background. Carmen began their studies in 2000 at the Universidad de Valladolid, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design Engineering in 2004. Carmen then went on to receive a Diploma in Product Design Course from the Instituto Europeo di Design Madrid in 2003. In 2004, they obtained a Master's Degree in Research Study Program in Industrial Design from the Istituto Europeo di Design. In 2020, they completed an Entrepreneurship Essentials course from Harvard Business School Online, as well as an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from Quantic School of Business and Technology, which they are currently enrolled in.
