Øyvind Svendsen is a senior researcher at Norsk Utenrikspolitisk Institutt (NUPI) since February 2021 and serves as a Førsteamanuensis II at Høgskolen i Innlandet since August 2021, focusing on methodology teaching for a Master's program in public governance and management. Svendsen completed a PhD in Political Science at the University of Copenhagen, where a fellowship was held from September 2016 to August 2022. Prior experience includes a position as a lecturer in international relations at Høgskolen i Lillehammer and earlier roles in customer service at NSB and the Royal Norwegian Air Force.
