Hirad Karimi

Hirad Karimi, PhD, has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Hirad is currently working at NuraLogix Corporation as the Cloud AI Team Lead, where they are responsible for bringing cutting-edge AI technologies to production and working with cloud technologies such as AWS, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes. Hirad also designs and maintains backend services and APIs using languages like Golang, Python, nodejs, shell, and MATLAB. Prior to this, they worked at Identita Inc. as the Lead Application Developer and at Ecmictics Biotechnology Inc. as a Research Scientist. Hirad also had a short contract as an Android developer at Idea Media, Inc. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant and PhD candidate at the University of Toronto and as a Research Assistant at Western University. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Electrical Engineer at Rahtab Inc.

Hirad Karimi, PhD obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 2007. Hirad then pursued a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Western University from 2008 to 2010. Finally, they completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto from 2010 to 2015.
