Koby Gvili, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Koby is currently the VP of R&D and Operations at Nurami Medical, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology from September 2019 to August 2022, where they held multiple roles including Director of the Biotechnology & Food Engineering Core Facility, Lab Manager of the Biological Material Analyses lab and the Food Biochemistry lab, and Lecturer for Biomaterials - Science and Technology.

Before joining Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Koby was the VP of Operations at HALLURA from July 2018 to August 2019. From June 2013 to June 2018, they served as the CEO of Selyno Biomedical. Koby also worked as part of the Scientific Advisory Board at BOL Pharma from 2017 to 2018.

Koby's earlier experience includes working as the Director of Operations at CollPlant from December 2011 to April 2013. At CollPlant, they managed the collagen purification facility and was responsible for manufacturing, process engineering, experimental greenhouse, and QC lab. Additionally, they managed the supply chain of transgenic plants and played a key role in improving collagen expression, collagen hydroxylation, and process yield. Koby was instrumental in designing an upscaled GMP facility with Biopahrmax and implementing new technologies. Koby also implemented a quality management system for ISO certification.

Prior to CollPlant, Koby worked at Regentis Biomaterials from November 2007 to April 2012. Koby first served as an R&D Manager, where they were involved in product development and the clinical procedure for cartilage and bone regeneration. Koby played a crucial role in designing a custom-made medical-grade UV light source for product curing and also contributed to development of surgical accessories and analytical method validation. Later, they worked as a Senior Scientist at Regentis Biomaterials, focusing on the development of surgical accessories, process optimization, and quality management system documentation.

At the beginning of their career, Koby worked as a Process Engineer - Lithography at Intel in 2000.

Koby Gvili, Ph.D., obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Koby then pursued their doctoral studies at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, specializing in Biotechnology Engineering from 2002 to 2007.
