Prath Kini

Prath Kini is a seasoned professional in robotics and machine learning with extensive experience in perception engineering. Currently serving as a Staff ML Perception Engineer at Nuro since October 2022, Prath previously held the position of Senior Robotics Engineer at the National Robotics Engineering Center from 2014 to 2022, focusing on multi-instance object detection, semantic segmentation for quality control, and software architecture for perception modules. Additional experience includes contributions as a Research Intern at GE Global Research, where Prath developed a Navigation Stack for autonomous service robots, and internships at Mahindra & Mahindra and GreenAdd, which involved optimizing assembly processes and working on autonomous robotic systems, respectively. Prath holds a Master's degree in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
