Krishna Floisand

Krishna Floisand's work experience begins with their role as a Laboratory Assistant at the University of Utah Department of Mechanical Engineering, where they studied traumatic brain injury and developed a computer model. They then worked as a Communications Assistant at the University of Utah School of Biological Sciences.

Krishna's next role was as a Program Lead intern at Hi-Gear, a program aimed at exciting girls' interest in engineering. Later, they worked as a Club Facilitator for Girls Who Code at The Leonardo Museum, starting the first clubs to close the gender gap in tech careers.

Krishna then joined The Leonardo as part of the Youth Programs team, developing initiatives like Girls Who Code Clubs and robotics clubs to bring STEAM education to the community.

After that, they worked as a Math and ACT Instructor at Sylvan Learning and as a School and Corporate Program Coordinator at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah, ensuring quality mentoring and academic opportunities for students.

Krishna continued their community engagement work as a Community Engagement Coordinator at Waterford.org, focusing on growing usage of the Waterford Upstart program.

Currently, Krishna is the Community Marketing Manager at Nursa, leading the community digital platform and strategy, as well as working on social media growth and reputation management.

Krishna Floisand completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Utah. They attended the university from 2013 to 2017.

In addition to their degree, Krishna Floisand also obtained several certifications. In June 2020, they achieved a certification in Social Psychology with Honors from Coursera. They obtained a certification in Google Analytics for Beginners from Google Analytics in March 2022. Furthermore, in August 2019, they obtained a Level 1-APT Educator License in Secondary Mathematics from the Utah State Board of Education.
