Maksymilian Majer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Maksymilian started their career at eVici Poland as a COO and Software Architect, where they led a team to develop a hybrid mobile application and managed the Polish software development office. Maksymilian then worked at Headshed AS as a Senior Software Engineer, helping establish a remote work environment and improving technical aspects of the products. Maksymilian also worked at Clevertech as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to architecture design and development of blockchain projects.
Maksymilian founded Nixa.io, a matchmaking platform for tech companies and remote software developers, where they led product research and business development. Maksymilian later joined WeWork as a Senior Engineering Manager, assembling a creative engineering team to build a prototype and MVP. Maksymilian also mentored startups at WeWork Labs on product development and hiring, and provided recruitment guidance.
Maksymilian then became the CEO and Lead Recruiter at ITCraftship, where they helped startups find developers and researched recruitment challenges. Maksymilian also served as an investor and advisor for SourceLoop, assisting companies in improving their recruitment campaigns. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Engineer and Head of Technology at Nursa, where they set technology standards, oversees engineering teams, and led the transition to a modular, loosely coupled monolith.
Maksymilian Majer completed their education with a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Software & database engineering from the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. Maksymilian attended the academy from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Database engineering from the same institution from 2003 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the "Foundation in Wine" certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in February 2008. Maksymilian also received the "070-315: Developing and Implementing Web Applications with Microsoft Visual C# .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET" certification from Microsoft in October 2005.
