Emily Harrison has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 2002, they worked for Knowledge Learning Corporation as a Teacher, Assistant Director, and Center Director. In 2008, they became a Photographer for The Event Photography Group until 2020. Emily then worked for Orion Talent from 2009 to 2022, taking on roles such as HR Generalist, HR Supervisor, and eventually Human Resources Director. In 2016, they joined Johnston County Emergency Services as an Emergency Medical Technician. Most recently, they are currently serving as the Vice President of Human Capital for Nurse First Travel Agency as of October 2022.
Emily Harrison earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology and a BA degree in French from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2002 to 2006. During their undergraduate studies, they also attended the University of Montpellier in 2005, where they focused on French studies, but did not obtain a degree. In addition to their academic qualifications, they obtained additional certifications including the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HRCI in May 2010 and the SHRM-CP from SHRM in March 2015.
