Eileen Meyer. Dnp

Eileen Meyer, DNP, CRNP, ACNP-BC, LSSGB, has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Their most recent role was as the President of the Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama, where they served as a Senior Policy Advisor and the VP of Policy. Eileen also works as an Adjunct Didactic Instructor at the UAB School of Nursing, focusing on DNP Health Policy & Politics. In addition, Eileen has held positions at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing and UAB Medicine, where they served as an Assistant Director of Advanced Practice Providers. Before that, they worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Acquired & Congenital Cardiac Surgery at UAB-University Hospital and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Eileen began their career as a Clinical Teaching Associate at the UAB School of Nursing and worked as a Nurse Clinician specialized in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation.

Eileen Meyer, DNP, CRNP, ACNP-BC, LSSGB, has an extensive education history. Eileen earned their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of Charleston in 1994 and their Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with a focus on Adult Acute and Continuing Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1997.

In 2014, Eileen Meyer pursued further education and obtained their Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2018, they completed a certificate program in Quality and Safety at the same institution.

Looking ahead, Eileen Meyer is planning to pursue a Master of Jurisprudence degree with an emphasis on Health Law, Policy, and Management. Eileen is expected to attend Texas A&M University from 2023 to 2024 to complete this program.

In addition to their educational accomplishments, Eileen Meyer has obtained several certifications including ACLS, ANCC, BLS, and NCLEX.
