Kiran Gill

Kiran Gill has served as the Chief Legal Officer and Head of the Legal Department at the General Optical Council since September 2010. Additionally, Kiran has been a panelist on the Investigation Committee of the Nursing and Midwifery Council since November 2018, assuming the role of chair in 2021. Previous experience includes positions as FTP Manager (Hearings) at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain from 2007 to 2010, Crown Prosecutor at CPS Hertfordshire from 2005 to 2007, and Senior Solicitor at Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP from 2000 to 2005, as well as serving as a Solicitor and Trainee Solicitor at Walker Martineau from 1991 to 2000. Kiran's academic background includes a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Cardiff University and Law Society Finals from the College of Law in York.
