Billy Bachtiar Gunawan has varied work experience in marketing and business analysis roles. Billy Bachtiar started their career as a Digital Marketing Intern at TheConversion.com in 2012. In 2016, they interned as an Analyst & Marketing Intern at both SIRCLO and East Ventures. At East Ventures, they gained experience in providing early stage seed capital to startups. In 2018, they co-founded NusaTalent, where they served as the Co-Founder & COO. In this role, they focused on solving Human Resource problems through automated integration and developing data-tested methods to connect candidates with career opportunities.

Billy Bachtiar Gunawan attended SMA Terpadu Pahoa from 2009 to 2012, where they focused on the study of Ilmu Alam (Natural Sciences). Following that, they attended President University from 2013 to 2017 and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.) degree in Teknik Elektro dan Listrik.
