Emil Weil

Emil Weil is an experienced thermal-hydraulic analyst with a robust background in nuclear engineering, holding a Master's and dual Bachelor's degrees from Penn State University in Nuclear and Mechanical Engineering. Currently serving as a Thermal-Hydraulic Analyst IV at NuScale Power since September 2017, Emil specializes in RELAP5 code development for Small Modular Reactors, including the creation of transient input decks and automated test scripts. Prior experience includes roles such as Thermal Performance Engineer at Exelon, where Emil managed thermal hydraulic modeling tools, and Reactor Controls & Simulations Engineer at X Energy, LLC. Emil's earlier positions involved extensive thermal hydraulic coding, systems engineering, and research focused on heat transfer in nuclear systems, alongside involvement in mechanical design and analysis.
