John Zupancich

John Zupancich has extensive work experience in research and development roles in the biomedical materials industry. John is currently the Director - Research & Development at NuSil Technology, LLC since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the Director - Advanced Technologies R&D at Avantor from October 2018 to March 2020. John also served as the Director - Materials Science & Chemistry at DSM Biomedical from May 2017 to September 2018. Before that, they held the position of Sr. Manager - Materials Science & Chemistry at DSM Biomedical from August 2016 to May 2017. John joined DSM in 2008 and held various roles including RT&D Manager, Biomedical Polyurethanes, R&D Staff Scientist - Project Manager, R&D Scientist - Project Leader, and Postdoctoral Scientist. Throughout their career, they have been involved in leading innovative projects, developing biomedical materials, and collaborating with customers to meet their needs in various therapeutic market segments.

John Zupancich earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Minnesota, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Gustavus Adolphus College, where they attended from 1998 to 2002.
