Carlos Vargas

Carlos Vargas, MBA, PMP, is a seasoned professional in project controls and planning within the oil and gas industry, currently serving as a Turnaround Controls Specialist at Nutrien since May 2021. Previously, Carlos held positions such as Project Controls Manager and Systems Implementation Manager at Vepica - Canada, and Planning & Scheduling Team Leader at Massy Wood Group Ltd., where oversight of a 32-member team focused on BP operations in Trinidad was key. Early career experience includes roles at Wood Group Colombia as a Shut Down Support Engineer, where responsibilities revolved around the planning and execution of major overhauls.
