Maria Abbott has extensive experience in sales and operations within the agricultural industry, currently serving as the Sr. National Sales Manager for DEF & Ind. Potash at Nutrien since January 2022. Prior roles include Regional Sales Manager for Phos Acid at Nutrien and Operations Manager at Twin City Hardware. Maria has also held key positions at Omya as Market Development and Innovation Director and at CHS Inc. as Crop Nutrients Supply Manager, where responsibilities included strategic planning and inventory management for fertilizers, as well as product management that led to significant market growth. Earlier experience includes serving as Technical Manager at Phyton Corporation, focusing on research and development for crop protection products. Maria holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota, a Master's in Soil Science and Agronomy from Iowa State University, a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Metro State University, and a Bachelor's in Plant Science from Universidad de Costa Rica.
