Jonathan L. Kotlier is the Chair of the White Collar Defense Practice Group at Nutter. Jonathan has over twenty-five years of experience prosecuting and defending a wide variety of white collar crimes, including securities fraud, FCPA violations, money laundering, and health care fraud.
Jonathan began their career as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, where they prosecuted a wide range of cases, from homicide to white collar crime. In 1990, they became an Assistant United States Attorney in Philadelphia, where they served for two years before moving to the Economic Crimes Unit in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Boston. Jonathan was the Chief of the Economic Crimes Unit for eight of their twelve years at the U.S. Attorney's Office, during which time they successfully prosecuted numerous securities fraud cases.
In 2004, Jonathan left the U.S. Attorney's Office to join Nutter as a partner in the firm's White Collar Defense Practice Group. Jonathan has since defended clients in a variety of high-profile white collar cases, including those involving allegations of securities fraud, money laundering, and health care fraud.
Jonathan L. Kotlier reports to Michael E. Scott, Co-Managing Partner. They are on a team with Steven G. Saunders - Co-Chair, Intellectual Property Department, Jeffrey W. Roberts - Chair, Private Client Department, and Marianne Ajemian - Chair, Real Estate Department.
