Alan Thetford

Alan Thetford is a seasoned financial compliance professional with extensive experience in the financial services industry. Currently serving as the Financial Crime Officer for Europe & APAC and UK MLRO at Nuveen, a TIAA company, since August 2021, Alan previously held the position of Global MLRO at Janus Henderson Investors following the merger of Henderson Global Investors and Janus Capital. Prior to this, Alan was the MLRO & Head of Core Compliance at Henderson Global Investors Limited and held roles at Western Asset Management as Supervisor of Portfolio Compliance & MLRO, as well as at GAM Investments as Supervisor. Alan's career spans over three decades, marked by a strong focus on compliance and regulatory matters in the finance sector.
