Cinda Whitten

Cinda Whitten is a seasoned professional in investment operations, currently serving as the Sr. Managing Director and Head of Global Investment Operations at Nuveen, a TIAA company, since September 2022. In this role, Cinda provides leadership and oversight of back and middle office operations, focusing on modernizing operational practices and enhancing service reliability while managing regulatory risks. Prior to Nuveen, Cinda held various roles at Principal Global Investors from July 2001 to August 2022, culminating as Managing Director, where responsibilities included overseeing Global Investment Operations and leading a team of 130 employees across multiple investment disciplines. Cinda also has experience as a Sample Exam Writer for the CFA Institute and as an Assistant Underwriter at Delta Dental of Colorado. Cinda holds an MBA in Management and two Bachelor's degrees in Finance from Northwest Missouri State University and the University of Colorado Denver.
