Jonathan Friedman

Jonathan Friedman currently serves as Senior Director at Nuveen, a TIAA company, where responsibilities include leading the Industrials Pod with a focus on Chemicals and Industrials within high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and distressed credit. Based in both Los Angeles and San Francisco, Jonathan contributes to one of the industry's leading leveraged finance platforms, managing $39 billion in assets. Prior experience includes roles as a Credit Analyst at Janus Henderson Investors, a Credit Research Analyst at Western Alliance, and an Equity Research Analyst at a family office. Earlier in Jonathan's career, significant positions included Corporate Credit Analyst at The TCW Group and Derivatives Trader at Optiver US LLC, specializing in fixed income and natural gas volatility. Jonathan holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Cornell University and an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business.
