Stephen Lee

Stephen Lee is an experienced professional in impact investing and finance, currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Asia at Nuveen, a TIAA company, since April 2019. With a robust background in various leadership roles, Stephen has also been a Board Member at Arohan Financial Services Limited and Kinara Capital since late 2022. Prior to Nuveen, Stephen worked at TIAA as Principal in Impact Investing and gained additional experience at Building Markets, J.P. Morgan, and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Stephen holds dual Master’s degrees in Foreign Service and Business Administration from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, along with a Fulbright Fellowship in Modern Standard Arabic.
