Joydeep Chatterjee

Mr. Joydeep Chatterjee heads the Special Projects, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Affairs functions at Nuvoco.

Mr. Chatterjee joined Nuvoco in 2008 as Senior Vice President of Green-field Projects; where he successfully commissioned the Rajasthan, Bhivani and Sonadih Railway line projects. In 2012, he was made Chief Project Officer; and in September 2016, he was given additional responsibilities of overseeing the organisation’s CSR activities. He has been heading Corporate Affairs for Nuvoco since May 2017.

Mr. Chatterjee started his career with the DCM Group in Shriram Refrigeration in 1983; he covered a gamut of roles ranging from being Executive Assistant to the CEO & MD, to Corporate Planning & Strategy, and heading Projects. He was also part of the Honda Genset and Honda Car projects. Following Tecumseh’s acquisition of Sriram’s compressor business; Mr. Chatterjee headed the organisation’s Hyderabad unit, and later headed operations for Hyderabad and Ballabgarh. He has overseas work experience in the USA, France and Brazil for precision engineering projects. He briefly headed Operational Excellence globally for Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories before joining Nuvoco in 2008.

Mr. Chatterjee has a strong grounding in precision engineering, and over thirty years of experience in Project Management and Operations. He holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi University and an MBA. He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Certified Auditor of Environment Systems ISO 14000 by Marsdon United Kingdom, as well as qualified in Total Quality Management.
